Hi, I'm Samantha Herscher!

My Story

I believe where you go is not who you will be. Every student has multiple pathways to success, and my role is to help them find the right fit where they'll thrive. I take time to know students as whole people, not just their grades and test scores, and help families focus on authentic fit rather than prestige.

I know this world from both sides. As a mom of two living in the Chicago suburbs, I understand firsthand how much rides on the educational decisions families make, and how important it is to have the right guidance along the way.

After 15 years as a marketing professional, I discovered my passion for helping families navigate one of their most important decisions.

My transition into education consulting stemmed from experience in the corporate world.  Throughout my marketing career, I specialized in executive search and staffing firms, where I sharpened my writing skills and knowledge in resume building, interview preparation, and helping professionals tell their stories effectively. These same skills that helped candidates land their dream jobs now help students craft authentic applications and present themselves confidently to colleges.

I'm a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), a graduate of its intensive Summer Training Institute, and completed my Professional Program in College Admissions Consulting certificate at UC Berkeley.

When I'm not working with families, you'll find me listening to podcasts, reading, playing mahjong, or attempting new recipes in my kitchen with my dog.
